Dr. Hilary Coons – Director

Dr. Coons became Director in 2020 after being a part of the CCP family for the past 7 years.  All three of her children attend the preschool and she served on the Board of Directors for 6 years.  She has an earned Doctorate in Public Administration and extensive work in non-profit leadership and managing non-profit organizations.  

Mrs. Dawn Petrie – 4’s Lead Teacher

Mrs. Petrie has been working in our 4’s Pre-K program since 2007.  Previously she worked as a paraprofessional.  She has also earned credits toward a degree in Education at S.C.S.U. and has volunteered her time at different educational facilities.

Amy Brooks – 4’s Assistant Teacher

Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and psychology from Western Connecticut University. She has 10 years’ experience in early education. Her son attended Christ Church Preschool and she lives with her family in Southbury.

Mrs. Jenn O’Brien – 3’s Lead Teacher

Mrs. O’Brien has a degree in Behavioral Science with credits in early childhood education. She started out as a substitute teacher at Christ Church Preschool and then spent a year working in the 3-year old classroom as a teacher. She is currently in her first year as Lead Teacher in the room but has been an employee since 2012.

Mrs. Kelly Dolyak – 3’s Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Dolyak joined CCP in 2020 after working as a Daycare Assistant at another local learning center.   She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.  Her children attended our preschool and we are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Dolyak to our staff!

Mr Jack Petrie – Teacher’s Aide

Mr. Jake began at CCP as a student researcher and volunteer as an Oxford High School Student in 2019.  He then transitioned to our substitute teacher and is now our full-time Teacher’s Aide.  Mr. Jake is a friendly face in both our classrooms.  He actually attended preschool here when he was 3 and 4 years old!  He has college credits in early education and is considering a career in early childhood.

Christ Church Preschool is fortunate to have a group of professional consultants to help us with specific issues, concerns, or questions.
